about
The second of three different offerings of this early Glimmer Star set staple, the 2002 version of Marcella was recorded by G.G. King (George Garcia) in 2002 for his label, Radio Beat Records’ multi-band compilation, Turn The Dial Volume 1, released that same year. King had heard the original recording of the song from two years earlier from a CD single, and wanted a tougher, slightly heavier treatment of the tune, a goal on which he delivered on. The Turn The Dial compilation would feature 24 tracks, including songs by The Checkers, B-Movie Rats, Angoras, Neurotones, and The Verdicts, just to name a few.
Twenty years later, this version of Marcella returns.
